A good neighborhood pizza place with a decent menu. They have 5 booths in front and some tables in the rear. I had a side salad and small pepperoni pizza (not hungry enough for a deep dish one). Pretty good.
I’ve been to 22 countries and thought I’d had a fair amount of good pizza. Wrong. Had the Special Deep Dish, hands down the best tasting pie I’ve ever had. Price point was great as well.
I live nearby and usually get a slice when I’m in the mood for pizza or whenever I wanna get a large pizza for a gathering and man does Cipriani’s always
In terms of taste, the pizza was quite delicious, boasting a commendable flavor profile. I appreciated that the sauce wasn’t overly sweet, which aligns well with my preferences. However, I found the sauce to be somewhat sparse and wished there had been a bit more to enhance the generous toppings. Speaking of toppings, they were a highlight—robust and well-prepared. My main criticisms revolve around the crust and thickness. For a tavern-style pizza, it was a bit thicker than expected, moving away from the traditional ultra-thin base I was looking for. Moreover, the crust had a somewhat dry texture, which took away from the overall enjoyment. Looking back, I regret not adding pepperoni to the Cipriani's Special, as that might have improved the experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, I think this pizza is a solid option for anyone craving a classic tavern-style pizza. I’ll definitely order again, though I’ll likely make a few adjustments to better suit my tastes.
