Joe's never disappoints. The Burgers are always great and the they have very delicious spicy **** Mary's. Pedro was our server and he was very friendly and helped us decide what to get. Also the prices there can't be beat, they have a lot of great deals. View all feedback.
What Alaina Kilback doesn't like about Chicago Joe's Irving:
My early NYE supper at Chicago Joe’s was ok. The server was sweet and helpful but must have been substitute for the actual wait staff. There was no bartender. There were very few patrons at 7pm which surprised me. However, although the place is known for its burgers, I ordered the “special” steak at my own risk. Well, what do you know? The steak was wonderfully delicious. It was tender and flavored just right. The ve... View all feedback.
The baked potato was small and dried out, while only the broccoli and carrots were fresh. The chicken was thin, greasy, and disappointing. The table was sticky, and the bathrooms left much to be desired. I wouldn't return, and even though it was a Friday night, only two other tables were occupied, which was quite embarrassing. The busboy came in and changed the baseball game we were watching to something else, then left. We requested that the baseball game be put back on the television. I refused to pay for the meal, and when they asked if I wanted to take the leftovers home, I declined. The waitress did offer us a $10 credit for our next meal and deducted $5 from the bill, but I said that we had no intention of returning and didn’t want to pay for a meal that was subpar and might have poisoned my partner. We felt we shouldn’t have to pay at all for the poor food and service we received, especially since we got our meal well after everyone else was done. Eventually, we left, and I had other things to attend to at home.
It’s not what it used to be. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was quite empty, but the food didn’t meet the standards I remembered from a few years ago.
This is a fantastic restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely come back!
First off, everyone was very nice and tried to be helpful. When I made the reservation, I specifically said that my husband is in a wheelchair. They didn't seem to know anything about it and it is not easy to get into the restaurant itself. I was shown a side door, but the one into the restaurant faces out and it was very hard to get the wheelchair into it through the 2 doors. Plus, the bathrooms are in the bar area, which is up3 stairs. Definitely not accessible. The food was good, servers were nice, but toward the end, there was a private party being set up in our room and we ended up leaving earlier than planned.
I've been going to Chicago Joe's for years, a staple in the neighborhood. Our waitress was very nice reasonable drink and food specials.
