Description

Nestled in Chicago, this restaurant offers a unique blend of dining and distillery experiences that wow some patrons, while leaving others feeling mixed. Its cocktails, especially the standout Eastern Empress and Japanese tea-infused My Jinji, receive high praise for creativity and taste. The space boasts a modern, spacious layout, yet the overpowering acoustics and loud music may detract from a relaxed dining experience. Seating options vary, but some find ambiance choices puzzling due to unexpected decor and layout. Overall, while the food garners positive remarks, concerns about atmosphere and eccentric drink selection could affect repeat visits.

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting CH Distillery/Joto several times, and with each visit the level of service has exceeded my expectations. Amazing cocktails, incredible sushi, and an ambiance that’s great for a date night or just gathering with friends. The team here are simply top notch. Special shout out to Tony and Adam for another memorable experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Jōtō Sushi was phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and our server was truly outstanding. Even though I can’t remember their name, his knowledge and detailed recommendations made the entire experience feel elevated and thoughtful. We strayed away from the omakase menu as we were a group of 4, with everyone wanting different things. Still- everything we ordered was spot-on. Will definitely be back! My husband and I stumbled upon CH Distillery while exploring the Fulton Market neighborhood on a sunny November afternoon. Intrigued by their happy hour offerings, we decided to stop in for a quick bite and drink. Little did we know that our short thirty-minute visit would leave us wanting more. The happy hour menu offered a variety of hand rolls, sake, and craft cocktails. I indulged in a delightful sake, while my husband savored a refreshing gin gimlet. We left with plans to return soon and explore their full menu and unique cocktail selection. The prices during happy hour were quite reasonable, making it a great value for those looking to enjoy a quick bite and drink. We anticipate returning for a full dining and cocktail experience in the near future.

The ambiance is kind of hipster chic and the service was great. Our waitress checked on us often. The cocktails sound very creative but were a little odd. The place also closed at 10pm on the weekend, which was also a little weird. We didn't order any food, but did have some cheesecake which was standard. Nothing special. Overall, I probably wouldn't be back.
