What Bob W doesn't like about Caro Mio Italian:
Atmosphere and service great. Don't come here for eggplant peeled, sautéed, smothered in melted cheese on a platter, adorned with a solitary basil leaf or pasta primavera farfalle with steamed vegetables. If tomato sauce is in fact homemade it's thin and bland. Still, the place is lively and charming, art all over the walls, and BYOB feature is a plus. We might try some of the other dishes in future. Authentic Homemade Italian and really good at it. Portions were HUGE. Rigatoni was Great, with that capital G. May be a little too heavy for some tastes. This ain 't no fromma da box pasta. The balance between bite and depth of flavor is amazing. Chicken was pounded out thin before breading rather than a thick 'ol breast slapped on top, like some other places pass off as a special add on very satisfying. Will be returning.

Small authentic Italian restaurant. I came in last minute with a group of 6 bc the restaurant we originally planned on going to was closed. They went an extra length to seat us. BONUS: It's BYOB! We had the Calamari, Caprese Salad, and Brushetta for appetizers. For dinner we had gnocchi, linguine arrabiatta, the seafood linguine and eggplant parm. EVERY SINGLE THING WE ORDERED WAS GREAT. It is a vibrant neighborhood true Italian restaurant. Food is delicious, although a lot of olive oil. Go there to try excellent recipes, not if you are on a diet though : Lively ambiance.
Phenomenal service, food, atmosphere. BYOB Italian? What is better. Cavatelli pesto with homemade sausage was perfection and then the tiramisu....GO HERE.
