Cafecito - Chicago

Don’t let the appearance fool you! The food and coffee here are the best I’ve had in Chicago. Make sure to enjoy the cafecito (double shot) along with the breakfast or lunch sandwich. You won’t regret it!

I had a chicken chipotle sandwich and a pasta salad, and both were disappointing. The pasta salad was really dry, and the sandwich lacked any flavor. I won’t be coming back.

Café con leche is my go-to here; it's incredibly tasty. The place is quite small, with just a few tables and a bar area, but most customers prefer to grab their orders and go. To be honest, I haven't tried any of the food, and I usually just order the regular drip coffee. However, I’m giving five stars for the excellent service and my delicious café con leche.

By order. jerk pressed sandwich, Cuban-bean soup and guay dulce de leches mousse cake. jerk sandwich was good, need more Caribbean taste. dessert was delicious. the Cuban black bon soup was salty, tasted like boiled water supper as well and not good.

This was our wild card spot for lunch today while at work and we were all pleasantly surprised. Amazing vegan options weren't even advertised on Google maps, so I wanted to give a big shout out as the beyond impossible sandwich was wonderful! I was literally lamenting about my favorite pressed sandwiches and Cubano Fair and wishing there were vegan options (outside of my own kitchen) and low and behold, Cafecito delivered. I went with a non-vegan who ordered off the vegan menu as well as someone with dietary restrictions who found it easy to order a custom sandwich. We grabbed it to go because the eat in area is small and it was lunch time, but we will be back soon! The service was very kind and there were awesome soda and coffee options to go along with a great quick lunch.Vegetarian options: Entire vegan menu! I never have this many options!
