Cafe Hoang - Chicago
Cafe Hoang
Description
One of the standout dishes at this restaurant is their Bun Bo Hue, which has been praised for being both delicious and authentic by Vietnamese diners. Along with their flavorful duck salad, the food is a definite highlight. However, some diners have had mixed experiences with the service, with issues like slow order times and untrained staff members. Despite these shortcomings, the restaurant seems to attract customers for their quality food, particularly the Bun Bo Hue, which is worth a drive for many. The lack of ambiance due to the lack of music is a downside for some, but overall, the restaurant seems to deliver on tasty Vietnamese and Thai cuisine.

A friend and I drove 40 minutes to taste the bún bò huế at this restaurant. It was incredibly delicious and the service was fast. I went on a weekday after the lunch rush around 2pm, so there was no wait.
I went to this restaurant for lunch on a Friday and was impressed by the delicious taste of their dry noodles. The service was efficient and the food was served quickly.
I always come to this restaurant for their Bún bò Huế because I believe it is the best in Little Vietnam/Argyle. I wish they would play music here, as it can be quite quiet, especially during off-peak dining hours. The ambiance could be enhanced with some music. Additionally, the last time I visited, it was BYOB, and I hope it remains that way!
When we dined at 5:45 pm on a Saturday, there was only one other table with diners. The restaurant serves authentic Vietnamese and Thai cuisine and has large tables for sharing when it gets busy. The food was decent, but the ambience was lacking.
