I decided to check out burtons one day on the way home from work because I always see people having fun in there and a kind server (MARIO) once sent a kind smile my way when I was walking by that made me feel seen. I walked in and saw MARIO and told him about my nerves and how I do not drink anymore and he understood in a way I wish all bartenders would. He didn’t even flinch and gave me the rundown of what they have SANS (without) ALCOHOL. I didn’t feel “strange” or “not normal.” Mario whipped up a VIRGIN mojito for me in no time and spoke to me about wrestling and the Chicago White Sox. I was not a fan of wrestling until I met Mario, but he brought me to the light and made me understand its WHIMSY. Thank you Mario for bringing kindness into my life and making me feel accepted.
