Brasa Roja - Chicago

I was extremely impressed with this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and had an authentic Latin American flavor that was spot on. The service was good and the dishes were served in a timely manner. The pricing was fair considering the high quality of the food.

I ordered the Empanada de Carne, which had a beef and potato filling served with aji. Despite some complaints about the empanadas not being fresh, mine were hot and delicious. The filling was flavorful with soft beef and potatoes, although the casing was a bit thick for my liking. Next, I tried the Half Rotisserie Chicken with potatoes, corn pancake, and plantain. The chicken was incredible with crispy skin and tender, juicy meat. The flavor wasn't the strongest, but I enjoyed it with the aji from the empanadas. The potatoes and arepa were normal, but the sweet plantain was a standout for me with its sweetness and caramelization. I also had a Soursop Juice, which was pulpy and sweet - a pleasant surprise as it's not commonly found everywhere. Despite reading complaints about the service, I personally did not encounter any issues. It could be because I went early when it was not crowded, but I had a positive dining experience overall.

I have visited this restaurant before and today I opted for the shrimp, unfortunately they lacked flavor. Once your meal is served, the staff does not check back to see if you need anything. I don't believe I will be returning to this establishment.

Wow, what a great place to take our production crew! We recently wrapped on a long day of commercial work and we had just enough time to walk over to the Pulaski and Addison location. Talk about a suuuuuuuuper friendly staff. The food was ?buenísimo? andso traditional. Also, the menu totally fit our budget and the BYOB only sweetens the deal. We shall return! La Brasa Roja,always a good call. ????

Their chicken is always perfectly cooked and the flavor is great. I don?t love the plantains but everything else included with a full chicken is great. Their steak lunch special is a really great value as well although no where near as tasty as theirchicken.
