Was M Wu at Bixi Brewpub a mag?
Ok as a East Asian myself, I’ll say the foods here are not authentic (well of course, this is an American pub, and they never said their foods were authentic). The foods taste fusion-y and the impact from American was so obvious. I don’t really enjoy that and I’ll give the food a 3/5 stars. But I really really like their environment, especially the atrium in a sunny day. It’s so bright! And your mood will be brighten... View all feedback.

What Michelle Gan dislikes about Bixi Brewpub:
The service was nice and the upstairs is beautiful but the food is just not good. My friends had been here before but wanted to give it a chance and we were all just disappointed. It's extra disappointing because it's a pricier place, which I don't mind if the food is good but I really hate when food is bougie and not good. We tried the spicy chicken sando, beef bulgogi bao, drunken noodles, and rangoon royale. I onl... View all feedback.

I had the pork belly smash burger, amazing. The milk bun and the simplicity of this burger

I started with the Brussels sprout salad, which I shared with three friends. We all absolutely loved it! The dish included dates and offered a delightful crunch in every bite. The server swapped out the dressing for a vinaigrette option, which worked perfectly. Despite sharing, I found it quite challenging to finish, as the portion size was substantial and very filling. In fact, I didn’t even touch my main course because I was so full from the salad. Overall, the service was fantastic, the ambiance was charming, and it was wonderfully vegan-friendly.

Great food very nice lounge style atmosphere. It’s very ‘traditional Chicago vibe’ by this I mean a small upscale eclectic vibe locale with a selective menu and local small batch brews. The outdoor part is supposed to be even better, but hard to getreservations there as of now. If it smells very herbally or organic it’s probably the live moss wall. We sat not too far fromit and that was the first thing we smelt. I liked the smell, but it’s not for everyone.

The food here is absolutely stellar and the shifties lager is so crisp and refreshing. There's so many diverse flavors throughout this menu that I don't even know where to start. The bixi Mac burger isn't the best in town but it's pretty damndelicious. Lettuce on a burger is always a big no-no to me mainly because it always ends up wilted and gross half way through(but hey, great take on a big Mac). Other than that, it packs a wonderful cheesy umami flavor that doesn't disappoint. The frieswere super fresh and crisp, nice and salty without being over powering. Reminiscent of McD's and possibly better. Lastly, thedessert they just added to the menu hit all the notes (Thai peanut sundae). The peanut butter ice cream pairs well with thesaltiness and spiciness from the peanuts. The fruit keeps is refreshing and light on the front end while the caramel sticks tothe back of your spoon making you wish there was more. I've been here 3 or 4 times now for small meals and I don't think I'llstop. The ambiance of the place is great and outdoor rooftop seating is pretty much the norm here. Love it all.
