About a 50 minute wait. The flavor of the soul rolls was all from the yams, chicken was crispy needed hot sauce. The salmon croquettes were burnt. Greens were underwhelming. View all feedback.
Food was astounding!!! Best vegan dishes I have ever tasted. Sweet potatoes were superb, as was the j chicken. Genuine people, felt like I was in my mom's kitchen. Chef Kelley has the kindest spirit. Will return everytime I'm in Chicago!!!
So happy to have authentic soul food in the neighborhood. The salmon croquettes, yams and greens were awesome. Decor is comfy and unfussy. Staff is personable. I will add this to my list of neighborhood stop-offs.

This place deserves more business! Ordered fried chicken and three sides and all of them knocked it out of the park, definitely a contender for best soul food in Chicago
Chef Kelley is incredible; her dishes are crafted with such care, and it really makes a difference! I keep returning for her fresh chicken, mac and cheese, yams, and rice and beans—they're the best soul food I've ever tasted. The family is wonderfully kind and truly remarkable. Every visit leaves me happy and satisfied!
