We visited this wine shop on Valentine’s Day after I had previously been 2 years ago. Thoroughly delightful! The place is not what you would think from the outside and is very small and intimate. The guys who run it are great fun and very welcoming. The wines were amazing, and the atmosphere perfect. I would highly recommend anyone to visit and can’t wait to visit again!
Such a great hidden gem! Their lunch menu is awesome love their daily salads and soups. And they have an awesome selection of wines at all price points. The atmosphere is super enjoyable too. You feel like you are somewhere in Europe as opposed to downtown Chicago.
I visited this restaurant with two coworkers after work, and it was a wonderful experience. On Fridays, they offer a complimentary wine tasting, which really won us over. I asked the friendly man at the register for his cheese recommendation, and he provided an excellent suggestion. We relaxed there until closing time, and they never rushed us. The service was fantastic! I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
This really almost looks like a cellar or a very disorganized cellar as soon as you walk in. People are doing work in front of beautiful bottles of wine and cheeses. Really cool, different atmosphere. Doesn't feel like the mostly modern Mart is right outside the door. Food was good. I had the Fromage Grillé, which was yummy enough and what you expect if a good, cheese panini. Will probably be back.
