I absolutely love this hidden gem in the neighborhood! The food is incredibly tasty, the atmosphere is delightful, and the service is exceptional. This is my favorite spot to bring family and friends when they visit.
This charming Italian restaurant in the neighborhood is absolutely delightful. The food is incredibly delicious, and I can't recommend it highly enough!
The wine and service was fantastic. That’s where the price point ends.Everything else didn’t fit the price. Tablecloths had wine stains. Outside was very cramped and a bit dingy. The garlic crostini that came with the 48 steak and bone marrow (and the only side with that dish) was burnt. The 14 gelato (for two TINY scoops) was freezer burnt. The polenta was just ok.Seems like tiny things, but when the check is over 200 and you didn’t feel like that matched the experience or favor profile at all, that’s when it’s a bit upsetting. We went on a very slow Sunday night, so I don’t understand why we were served subpar food (it wasn’t like they were super busy and rushed). Maybe that should have also been a sign — Sunday evening and it was dead.I also felt a little swindled for what we got versus what we paid for. I don’t think we’ll be back.
A eclectic little hole in the wall reminded us of the small restaurants in Italy. It is cozy and comfortable not too fancy. We were a little apprehensive about sitting in the garden, but it is covered and warm. The service was fantastic. Nora, our host was gracious. She made sure we were comfortable. Her recommendations both on food and wine were spot on. The food was delicious. We had the pappardale pasta and the Gnocchi. Both were well seasoned and fantastic. It paired very well with both the recommended Nebiolo and Venchi wines. A tad bit expensive but dont regret it one bit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We had a wonderful experience dining at your restaurant last night; what a neighborhood treasure we stumbled upon. The meal was excellent from start to finish. While the main dining room was quiet when we arrived, it was great to see the garden bustling despite the Chicago winter. The enclosed garden was incredibly cozy, and we especially enjoyed the warmth of the heat lamps and the wood-burning fireplace. Your team, Nori especially, did a fantastic job guiding us through the menu. The handmade pasta was exceptional, and every dish was full of flavor. My husband is already looking forward to returning to try more of the gnocchi, as the brown butter and fried sage preparation was the best he has had in years. Thank you for a lovely evening.
