Acanto - Chicago
Acanto
Description
Famous for its authentic and approachable Italian cuisine, Acanto Restaurant Wine Bar is located across from Millennium Park on Chicago's Cultural Mile. The restaurant sources artisanal ingredients from Midwest farmers to create seasonally-driven dishes from all regions of Italy. Acanto also offers an impressive wine program, with accolades from World of Fine Wine and Wine Spectator. In addition to classic Italian drinks like spritzes and negronis, the menu features craft cocktails, beer, and spirits. The name "Acanto" is the Italian translation of Acanthus, a flowery leaf seen in Roman architecture and famously used by architect Louis Sullivan in the terra cotta ornamentation on the historic building that houses the restaurant.

The restaurant was closed!!!!! Why did it offer this time if it was closed. We are at shake shack next door. They need to not offer times that aren't available
A solid date spot. Limited menu but a great wine selection. Great location and overall experience. A bit more expensive than other similar places food wise but the wine helped bring it up
Had a delicious meal arancini, lobster pasta, and a special carbonade. Drinks and service were topnotch. Its a small dining room and so quite good for conversation. Really enjoyed the relaxed experience. It is a bit pricey, so could be more for a special occasion depending upon your price point
Love love this restaurant! I’d argue that it is one of the top places in Chicago as it has such a fabulous dinning atmosphere and the food is always exceptional! Would forever recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner
