The atmosphere... read more This is one of our favorite spots for lunch, coffee, and relaxation. The food is excellent, and I highly recommend the sweets—they're fantastic! The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff is attentive; Libby truly goes the extra mile to ensure guests get exactly what they want. The gift shop is filled with beautiful items, and without any pressure to buy, Libby and her team inspire you to make a purchase.

One of us ordered the veg oatcake, which was also a bit soggy and insufficient in serving size. To truly feel satisfied, make sure to order a dessert as well.

There was so much food that we had to take some cakes home in a box they provided. We enjoyed delicious little bread rolls with lovely toppings, cheese scones with cream cheese and chutney, blueberry scones with clotted cream and jam, and a lovely selection of small cakes, all accompanied by excellent pots of tea. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

However, I was very disappointed with the contents of the cake stand when it arrived. I have tried many afternoon teas before, but this was one of the worst and most expensive ones I have experienced. I wouldn't recommend it. I didn't complain at the time because I had treated my friend and didn't want to cause a scene, but paying £40 for this was definitely not worth it.
