we visited with the family and chose this pub because of the extensive vegan options. I had the vegan haggis, neeps and tatties and my partner had the mushroom burger and chips. this was traditional vegan cuisine, a flat mushroom with cherry on a bungalow. it's so nice to have proper food. we love the availability of meat alternatives in these days, it makes it much easier for people who are just beginning to change... What Heather Gibb doesn't like about The Market Pub:
For a pub that claims to be the home of gin on their website this was a confusing experience. We weren 't given a drinks menu and the staff seemed taken aback to be asked for one and didn 't seem to know about the gin of the day that was advertised on the signage. Other than that our server was very attentive and efficient. Unfortunately the chicken, bacon and leak pie had no bacon or leak in it! The vegan burrito wa... View all feedback.
Wonderful selection of vegan food that tastes amazing
Pub with a great atmosphere and lovely interior. The staff are really friendly and the kitchen is knowledgeable on vegan food. I was so impressed on my first visit I was back within a week. The food is a vegan take on pub grub such as fish and chips, and bangers and mash. As well as more restaurant-y food like the vegan haggis and the tagine. I have tried both the vegan haggis and vegan fish and chips and both were excellent. The haggis was full of flavour and the chips are thick and succulent. I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with the quality of the vegan food this this cosy pub in the centre of chesterfield is producing, I felt compelled to write about it.

Large vegan menu with kassoulet, färsen and maische, haggis, superfood salad, fish and chips, vegan chocolate cake and more. fits the salat for us to add haggis! beautiful pub with a beautiful atmosphere. the haggis and the salad were both deliciously a first-class cook. it was a lot to do when I was in front of frit.
The first time has vegan sausage maische n wobblen gravur. and the second time had vegan fish (tofu) homemade chips and heaps. both meals were really nice and filled. friendly staff. thank you.
