We went for a Christmas meal in the evening just before Christmas, the food was great, I had a lovely prawn and crayfish starter, the others had pate which they said was delicious followed by Christmas Turkey dinner which was the best we’ve had this...season. It was or courses for a set price which was remarkably low! The puddings were great and the cheese and biscuit option very plentiful served with a complimentary... View all feedback.
What Charles Parker doesn't like about The Weaver:
Not been for couple of years, pub been beautifully decorated but on entering the front area has now been designated for dining and all tables set, so although almost empty we were asked to go into the rear bar area which was rammed. luckily we...did just manage to find seats. On leaving an hour or so later the dining area at the front still looked empty. I never can understand why pubs set all tables for dining just... View all feedback.
Second time we have been recently, this time for Sunday lunch. Absolutely fantastic, food took a little while from ordering.....simply because it was cooked fresh. Generous portion size but just delicious. One of the best pub lunches I've ever had. Had the 3 meat, brisket, gammon and chicken, all 3 were succulent, the veg cooked to perfection. Don't forget to put your car reg in the machine. Electric car charging in the adjacent car park is an instavolt so ideal place to eat while charging the car.
Great food, great service and lovely pub. Very reasonably priced, service was excellent and portions a good size Would definitely recommend and we will be returning for sure
The weaver is the best freshly prepared food in Macclesfield. The chef is great. The bar staff try their best Alison and Gary run the pub. Alison is a fantastic front of house in the restaurant. The food is to die for. People don't realise how nice the food is. We like to eat out alot but like I say this place is definitely the best in Macclesfield!!! Its a hidden gem!!! Pls visit ignore the pub area you can hide away and enjoy fresh home made food
"Warning: Watch out for parking at this restaurant! We visited for the fourth time in early July and were instructed by staff to only park in the pub's parking lot, not the shopping center's lot which is managed by a troublesome management company. We were seated and served drinks and food at our table without visiting the bar. Despite spending £81.65, the pub was surprisingly quiet at lunchtime. Recently, we received a £60 penalty charge for parking in the wrong lot. When I brought this up with the pub, they explained that they had started using the management company to monitor the parking lot. They claimed it was not their responsibility to inform customers of the change. It's unfortunate, but we won't be returning. Be cautious, future visitors! We'll be going back to the Flowerpot instead."
An excellent meal in a relaxed and friendly place. This is the 3rd time we've popped into the dining area of the pub for a weekend lunch, and it impressed again. The food is high end restaurant quality I definitely recommend a visit!
