Contribute FeedbackThe Leigh Arms has recently undergone a transformation, with dishes that once captivated diners now facing scrutiny. Guests fondly recall the legendary home-cooked Steak Ale Pie, now replaced by a disappointing factory-made version, leading to discontent among regular patrons. However, some visitors have praised the restaurant, highlighting friendly service, fantastic Sunday lunches with perfectly cooked meats, and excellent Yorkshire puddings. The ambiance remains inviting, making it a pleasant spot for dining. While experiences vary, there’s potential for the Leigh Arms to reclaim its former glory with a renewed focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
This Inn is exceptional and a must-visit if you are in the area. Making a reservation was easy, there were plenty of car parking spaces, and check-in was a breeze with a very welcoming atmosphere. A nice touch was being given a flask of fresh milk for tea/coffee and being escorted to my room. The Inn is very old and the room had a rustic charm, but it was also very clean with a comfortable bed and all the usual luxury facilities. I slept very well. Breakfast is made to order with high-quality ingredients. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is stress-free. I stay in many hotels, but this place is exceptional. If I had to score it out of 10, I would give it an 11. It is rare to find such an excellent establishment.
This restaurant is great for Sunday lunch. They offer excellent quality ingredients at an affordable price. I highly recommend it.
Welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, lovely bedroom and delicious breakfasts. Special thanks to Terry, John, Renata and Glynis. Thank you for everything
Great pint, excellent service. It was Matt who served me, he had great conversation and was very helpful. I will definitely be back, and would hope to continue chatting to Matt.
Called in on spec' was greeted by really friendly staff. Head man (sorry can't remember name) my wife I hit it off almost immediately. It was no trouble for him to accommodate a change in the menu for my wife unlike some places that stick rigidly to what is printed. We had good banter with him being a Yorkshireman Leeds fan, myself a Brummie Villan. Decor was really nice, giving a lovely ambiance So my wife had an adapted fish chips (reduced price available on a Wednesday, this was a Thursday), I had the gammon. Both meals were top notch, however £9.25 for a large Shiraz meant it didn't taste as smooth as it should have. All said done, would highly recommend
