While the extensive options are a delight, many patrons express frustrations with slow service and long wait times, particularly during busy periods. Although the café and garden center are now closed, the venue offers a spacious environment with various activities, including sand and water play. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness and friendly staff but voice concerns over early closures for private events without prior notification. Overall, it's a well-thought-out space with room for improvement, making it a mixed yet promising outing for families.
This restaurant has a great variety of play equipment for children, but don't count on getting your food quickly. The two serving areas are often crowded, with one rarely open and the other always having a long line due to slow service. Even if you just want drinks, you have to wait in line with those ordering food. Last time, we waited 25 minutes just to order. It's frustrating when you have kids to watch and entertain.
Unfortunately, the garden centre has closed down. It is no longer open to the public, and the café displayed in the pictures is also not available. It is best to avoid visiting this establishment.
On the downside, the restaurant could use better signage, as we missed it on our first drive-by. The cafe was quite pricey and had a limited menu – we were hoping for traditional kids' options like chips and fish fingers, but they only had sandwiches. Additionally, the temperature inside was extremely cold, and we had to keep our coats on the entire time. Overall, we may not return. My advice would be to dress warmly, bring extra money for the cafe, and pack a change of clothes for kids, as mine ended up getting soaked while playing in the water. Many others have also noted these issues.
Really impressed with this place. Visited this morning. It’s got so many activities! The staff are really friendly too. Took my 14 month old and there was lots of play for her and I can see many other play sections for when she gets older too. Sand pits, climbing areas, varieties of slices, baby areas, soft play, dinosaurs, fish tanks, lots of places to sit eat. Variety of food on offer. The place looks great and is designed really well. Indoor and covered outdoor area. Amazing value for money. Full pizzas for £5. Entry cheap for how much play there is. Very clean and staff are really great. Highly recommend.
Where do I start.... Very strict no picnic policy but they they ran out of food! Toilets were disgusting Staff didn’t seem remotely interested Kids all in the wrong age group and being disruptive to little ones Parents letting their kids throw sand all over the place
