I have lived up the block from this place for about a year now, and finally decided to go in and try some of their cuisine. My son, who is 9, suggested that we tried their chili dogs. What Dee Harrell doesn't like about Poppy's Top Dog:
Very disappointed. Staff is rude and has no patience. The food was not good. I got 5 pieces of burnt bacon, two undercooked bacon, two undercooked sausage, two undercooked eggs. The only thing was good was the fries and toast. I would have never gave that to a customer from my restaurant. We work to hard for our money to pay for this type of service View all feedback.
Awesome!. Great food for a decent price! The people working there are hilarious and reliable. The steak and cheese with chiplote sauce is delicious, along with the fresh cut french fries. :
Always guaranteed to get great food and great service! I love poppys!!!
Poppy's Dogs are Top Dog. What a great hot dog diner! Very friendly staff and GREAT food. You have got to try the Poppy Dog, very different. Not into hot dogs, then you have got to have the chicken salad sandwich, it is the best in Virginia and made fresh. <br/ <br/ Try them for breakfast too.
Poppy's a great neighborhood diner feeling. The food is simple, but delicious. You are treated like family and everyone that's there has a story. Just eat and listen you will have a great time.
This place is awesome! The hotdogs are great, the atmosphere was like a diner, the people were polite. If you want good lunch food, this is the place to go!
