At the time they didn’t even have styrofoam cups with l... read more I had not eaten here for quite a while because they had no containers for take out to keep the food hot. At the time they didn’t even have styrofoam cups with lids. I still liked the food but had read here that the service was now lacking. After I ordered my food my waitress never looked my way again and by the end of my meal I had to wave at the loud non-Asian waitress to get my check. At that moment she gave me an ugly look though I had not attempted to get her attention before. The area has serious literacy, socio-economic and racial issues. You can be in a state of confusion when receiving poor service at local restaurants. It is a service oriented area with very little industry and only “ok” service.

For my entrée I c... read more I had an excellent lunch in here recently with a good friend. It was his idea actually and I haven't been to a Pho 79 in years. So off I went. For my entrée I choose the Round Steak, Flank Brisket. This also comes with a side of bean sprouts, freshbasil, jalapeno and lime. Also for an app I ordered some egg rolls. Everything came out at once and boy was this a feast forthe famished. After snapping a couple of photos I added my bean sprouts, basil and jalapeno to the soup and then squeezed thelime over it. I have to say my eye's were bigger then my stomach. I finished the meal, but I swear I don't think I had anythingelse the rest of the day. Also the egg rolls were hot and crispy. They were serviced a semi-hot sauce that had a warm aftertaste. Absolutely delicious all around Next time I visit I can see myself having the same thing again. I know you're supposedto try different things but dang this was so good!
