Pretty impressed the only thing I can suggest is to put more seasoning on the boils in the pictures I see some that look like they have some kind of red seasoning maybe Old Bay or something I just feel like it didn't have enough season it needs more sneezing in on it... Love those boxes they put them in overall it's high quality. View all feedback.
What Shawn G doesn't like about La Guera Chicana Crab Pot:
Ordered crab legs and shrimp from them about a year ago. Food was delicious and very generous portions. However, my wife and I ordered the same items over the Easter Holiday weekend and were thoroughly disappointed. The food did not taste fresh and was cold. We later found out this location was under new owners with a new name. Not worth $120. I'll have to find a new seafood boil spot! View all feedback.
Excellent shrimp!! Wonderful and beyond the call of duty service!! Many thanks Deanna Nakita...
Went here today, afterworkk,it was horrible, horrible,I pacifically asked for spicy and Cajun mixed , don't know what it was but it was totally butter and not spicy nor Cajun horrible the potatoes were rotten, the corn was under cooked we trash it ,will never ever go back, there should of went somewhere else,am ? sad, because it was garbage,it was pretty bad, never had seafood like that, before the order was shrimp pot, the sausage was under cooked as well,2 thumbs down on this place
The food and service were top-flight. We will definitely be back!
My family and I used to swear by this place, 5/5 stars, then now it seems like it is under new management and the title has changed to a Hispanic restaurant. We did our normal HUGE order which we do a few times per year, and ordered early. Then at the time it was expected to be completed we received notification on our phone that they were “unable to complete your order” … leaving us hung out to dry with guests expecting a crazy good spread. Called and called and called and never any answer. Went back to our previous go-to … Wicker’s Crab Pot! As of now … Currituck Crab Pot is a joke. That’s not how your run a business.
This review is strictly for takeout:I did not want to go out in the madness of Mother's Day but I really wanted some seafood. I called and placed my order on the phone. The lady was nice enough. I ordered the combo pot for $51. It had 1 lb of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb mussels, shrimp and clams. It also had sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. I asked for the old bay and garlic butter sauce and it did not disappoint. The only thing I was disappointed about was the fact that the shrimp was not deveined. It was very visible on most of the shrimp and it really threw me off. I only ate the ones that were deveined (which were like 3). Other than that everything was ok. I'd probably check out other places than going back to be honest.
