Duck Donuts - Chesapeake

These donuts are the best. Been to the one in Duck, NC, VB Oceanfront Blvd. so happy they opened one between where I live and work. The donut plain is the best plain donut I have had, but let’s face it, the best part is the creativity!

Cinnamon sugar, hands down the best topping to put on top of fresh donuts. Best eaten right away!

Was recommended to come here by coworkers, and after they gave me a donut from here, it didn’t take much convincing. The donuts here are to die for! Sooo delicious and so many options. Be weary of the prices, you can easily spend a whole paycheck here with all their glorious and creative options.

As always duck donuts is amazing but this store may actually be my favorite. Not because of the great food because, that is a given, but because of the great customer service. The owner was out in the store talking to customers about the charty of the month where a percentage of sales went to that charity! I will gladly wait for amazing donuts from kind people that care about the community!

Duck Donuts are very different from Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts where doughnuts are placed in a viewing display case and sit there indefinitely until the doughnuts are purchased. Duck Donuts are cake donuts which are made fresh once an order is placed. Toppings and icings can be customized to one's likes or tastes ranging from chopped peanuts or bacon, coconut shavings; maple, chocolate or strawberry dips; to caramel, fudge or peanut butter drizzles. One can view how the fresh donuts travel from the fryer to being completed at the end with the variety of toppings and drizzles. There is a step stoop ledge where small children can stand upon to watch the donut making process. At the end of the donut assembly process, the completed donuts are presented to the customer for final inspection and approval. Then, the box is closed and handed off for delivery. The staff at Duck Donuts are very friendly and customer service focused. The store is tidy, organized and clean. Menu and ordering process are straightforward and simple. Duck Donuts are highly recommended for fresh, hot and made to order donuts over Krispy Keene and Dunkin Donuts. It's well worth the trip to visit the Chesapeake location off of Battlefield Boulevard which is in the same center as Mission BBQ and MOD Pizza. Two Thumbs Up!
