And of course the brunch plates was one of a kind.

Cakes and pastries looked appealing too, but didn't indulge. You can tell how much thought, care and effort has been put into this gem.

On this Sunday. 19th May 2019 I took my wife in while we we out shoppi... read more I had started going to The Rustic Bean in my own a while ago for a coffee whilst in town. On this Sunday. 19th May 2019 I took my wife in while we we out shopping. There were only a few people in the cafe, and 2 staff behind the till not serving anyone. My wife asked for a milkshake which was advertised, and astoundingly, the charmless middle- aged female staff member replied abruptly, “we are not doing milkshakes as we might get busy”. My wife and I looked at each other, looked around the mainly empty cafe, turned around and left. I would give ‘The Rustic Bean’ a wide berth in future, the unpleasant experience was too ridiculous for words, and upset my wife.
