The service at this restaurant was lovely and the staff were friendly. The food, on the whole, was good. However, the Hand Cut Chips tasted like cheap frozen chips and were dry. I was expecting something more like 'proper chips'. Despite this, we still had a great evening and would highly recommend this place to our friends. View all feedback.

Unfortunately we arrived on Sunday noon and the restaurant had a table with many loud children, we decided to go, but that was not the fault of the restaurant. Big pub for a drink and a loud bite to eat, it is usually busy and loud. View all feedback.
Lovely lunch. Very attentive service. Definitely a good choice for our lunch stop.
We always had a very warm friendly welcome, the food was always delicious, and enjoyable, the atmosphere was always great, enjoy your retirement.
Visited this lovely place yesterday 20/05/24. What a little gem Atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed. Food was excellent tasting and excellent value. The landlord was so friendly and entertaining . Everyone in there was so friendly and there was friendly banter between the landlord and customers. Such a pity the landlord and landlady are retiring. People are going to be missing out on a lovely experience there. Many thanks to the landlord from the couple who ate outside and had the fish and chips and the curry with half and half. Happy retirement sir.
Had a fantastic Sunday Roast Beef Dinner and a delicious dessert washed down with a couple of pints. The landlord and staff were very hospitable, and the landlady's cooking was spot on. Great food at very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere. Great Beer, especially the Swordfish. Certainly worth a revisit
Extremely good value for money no frills pub grub and well kept Wadsworth Ales. Will definitely be back.
