my wife, I go all the time to the jolly boatman, then a beautiful walk with our hahnenhahn along the canal. good food at a good price. have some of the comments about dog poo must admit, I have never seen in the garden. I would say that this irresponsible owner is a problem everywhere. Great location, nice enough pub, though slightly careworn. Atmosphere is relaxed and staff are friendly and welcoming. Food was poor though looked like it was all straight out of the Brake Bros van and into the microwave/fryer. The descriptions on the menu didn't match what appeared on our (cold) plates. After a trip to Blenheim Palace I stumbled upon the Boat Inn accidentally while looking for the nearby and similarly named "Jolly Boatman" restaurant. The
Lovely location, surrounding and a nice place to stop for a drinkBut other than that just stay awayThe staff are evasive, rude and lazy.
Went here on a much needed night out with 5 other mothers and all meals were disappointing.
By far the best roast dinner I've EVER had!!! Yum yum yum !!!
Fantastic food, friendly staff. Cannot fault our experience here this evening
