This pub is excellent with incredibly friendly staff and patrons. We were in the area for the weekend and felt very welcomed by everyone. This pub is excellent with incredibly friendly staff and patrons. We were in the area for the weekend and felt very welcomed by everyone. Although it is primarily a rugby-focused pub, they were happy to accommodate us to watch the football in one of the bars. We even had the opportunity to join in a game of Aunt Sally, which was a fun experience. Despite my initial concerns from having a few pints of their delicious Old Hooky, everything went smoothly and no one got hurt. I would highly recommend this pub to others.
A proper pub, great beer, great atmosphere and top publicans, definitely worth a visit come rain or shine!
One of the best pubs for many miles. They really look after the ale well. Superb enclosed floral garden, log fires in winter. Aunt Sally league, informal folk music sessions in back room once a month. Dog friendly with pub Husky. Snacky food at weekends.
We absolutely adore this pub. It has the best selection of beers in the area. The staff are fantastic - so friendly and accommodating.
Went as a group of 18 to play a fun Aunt Sally and meal. Lovely staff, super food and a great evening for all
