What Catherine D doesn't like about Janes Teas:
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I had been looking forward to enjoying afternoon tea here ever since discovering it during lockdown. However, it never fully reopened and was eventually sold. The new location in Ducklington, 15 miles away, is not as charming as the previous one. The odd opening hours, difficulty in finding the place, and the lack of parking made the visit quite frus... View all feedback. What Jane D likes about Janes Teas:
Delicious afternoon tea at Jane’s Enchanted Gardens yesterday. We were due to attend in 2020 for my birthday but due to lockdown restrictions for Covid 19 the Gardens were closed. read moreNestled along a picturesque canal, Jane’s Enchanted Gardens is a venue that evokes charm but proves inconsistent in its offerings. While some guests praise the fresh sandwiches, delightful cakes, and accommodating service, others lament the decline in quality, particularly with dry scones and unremarkable savoury options. The £20 to £30 price tag is contentious, with many feeling it doesn't reflect the culinary experience. Moreover, logistical issues like limited parking and cleanliness concerns about facilities detract from the ambiance. Ultimately, Jane’s holds potential, yet guests hope for improvements to restore its once-cherished reputation.
