Ruby Buffet - Cherry Hill
Ruby Buffet
Description
A bustling New Jersey Asian buffet offers an impressive variety — standout wings, sushi, honey chicken, pizza and soft-serve — with attentive staff who keep dining areas tidy and provide helpful extras like shell bowls and chopsticks. Safety measures and quick service are noted, but the experience is marred by limited meat and dessert-topping options, occasional restroom lapses, and a past unauthorized gratuity incident that was later resolved. Best suited to families and casual buffet lovers seeking broad choices.

Feedback
I recently dined at this buffet in New Jersey, and I thought the food was quite good. However, I was disappointed by the limited dessert options, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5. They didn't offer any toppings for the ice cream, such as rainbow sprinkles. In contrast, the buffet on Columbus in South Philly provides a much wider variety of ice cream toppings and dessert choices overall, along with an extensive selection of food, even during the pandemic.
The lunch buffet at this restaurant is fantastic! The dumplings and hot and sour soup are the best I've ever tasted.
The food was exceptional! The sushi bar is delightful, and the atmosphere is wonderful.
This is a fantastic little buffet! I really enjoyed all the delicious options, especially the all-you-can-eat fresh sushi bar that's part of the buffet.
I later called Ruby Buffet and found out that a tip had been added without my consent, which was very frustrating. When I expressed my concerns, I was abruptly hung up on. After this experience, I've decided not to return. UPDATE: The charge has been resolved, and I was informed that the hostess was reportedly addressed about the issue. While I appreciate their attempt to fix the problem, the entire incident left a bad impression. I'm glad I caught the mistake in time, but the eagerness of the staff to add tips raises some concerns about their internal practices. I remember visiting when the restaurant first opened and have noticed a decline over time. Nostalgia can only carry you so far. I understand the challenges the food industry faces and sincerely hope they find a way to improve.
