Guy Fieri's Kitchen - CHEROKEE
Guy Fieri's Kitchen
Description
At this restaurant, the dining experience is a mixed bag. While the food receives high praise—especially the ribs and steak sandwiches—service often falls short, with reports of long waits and inattentive staff. Guests frequently point out unprofessional host experiences and inconsistent server attentiveness. Despite some praises for the atmosphere, issues like cold meals and disorganized management frustrate patrons. A standout server has been noted, yet many felt overshadowed by the overall mediocrity of service. While some diners enjoyed their meals, others left disappointed and without intention to return, highlighting a troubling inconsistency in quality and service.

THE BEST WAITRESS EVER, NATALIE. She was so attentive and treated our granddaughter like a princess. The food was exceptional
We ate brunch and as always it was amazing. We had the steak and eggs and the French toast. Our server Erin was the best. She has waited on us lots of time and she takes care of her people and does a great job! No matter what you order, you get so much food!
GF was the only place we had not tried at the Cherokee Casino so we decided to eat there for my wife's birthday. It reminds me of a walk in cafeteria, not a sit down restaurant. IMHO anyway. Would we go back? Yes, but not for a special occasion. The staff is excellent. From the front desk to the wait staff the people were friendly and accommodating. Admittedly this was a slower night, but busy enough to expect at least one issue. We were pleasantly surprised. Our main server, I forget her name, was only on her second night as a new employee and was outstanding. Now for the food....... Drink prices on the menu, at least the price of an Ultra, are not correct. Not a huge deal since we attend many shows at Cherokee and know what an Ultra costs at the bars. Still in all, when I see a price on a menu I expect that price. We began with the Lobster Lollipops. Excellent! You get five or six pops, perfectly batter fried, along with an assortment of fries and two dipping sauces. Next I asked if I should order the bowl of chili or the onion soup. Our server, being new, was unfamiliar with the chili and suggested the soup as customers seemed to like it. Well............I am not going to say it tasted bad. But for 8 or 9 dollars......... This looked like someone had sauteed some onions, added water and onion soup mix, popped a slice or two of cheese on top along with some croutons, not baguettes or french bread slices, and nuked it for a few minutes. I suggest, at that price point, GF looks up the Julia Child recipe. My wife wanted salmon for the main course. Salmon was unavailable. So we both ordered the ribs. These were good, very good and perfectly cooked with the meat falling off the bone. The portions were honest. The sauce.......it was OK. Nothing special. The sides were mac/cheese which was good, cole slaw which was as good as I have ever tasted, and a jalapeno corn bread muffin. Dry, not much flavor, and really could have used a slab of butter. So there you have it.
Amazing food and service as always. Portions are large, so splitting is an option.
