A visit to this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing, with poor service and overcharging on dessert. Another reviewer found the antipasto to be overpriced and difficult to eat, with some items being subpar in quality. One diner experienced appalling service, with long wait times and unacceptable mistakes in their meal. However, on a positive note, several customers raved about the delicious food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere at Bella Cosi. The seafood chowder and pork belly were highlighted as particularly tasty dishes, though some felt that the presentation of the antipasto was lacking. Overall, despite some negative experiences, many diners still found the restaurant to be a fantastic dining spot, with excellent food quality and attentive staff. It seems like a mixed bag of reviews, but the overall consensus leans towards a positive dining experience.

Was Moses Pfannerstill at Bella Cosi a mag?
Went here for a business lunch and was so blown away by the special (three thin breaded chicken cutlets) that I went back again the following week. I'm convinced that this is a hidden jewel of the North Side, but it is a little pricey for Chermside and I find it very difficult to persuade others to give it a shot (they want to go into the city or pay lower prices to eat locally). What Felicity Borer dislikes about Bella Cosi:
Such a great dinner spot! The staff are super friendly and the food is fantastic! We ordered arancini, gnocchi fungi and duck lasagne. All dishes were so delicious! Servings were large and well priced! We had a great time definitely will be back soon! View all feedback.
Friendly service albeit slow. I found it overpriced for what it was. I ordered the antipasto and the first annoying issue was that they brought it over in a 'latest trendy' butcher's block which made it very difficult to eat from. The wooden block was at least one inch thick and because antipasto is by nature "oily' it makes it difficult to eat without struggling to keep the slippery food on top of the block. The olives (one of them which endest up on the floor), were not pitted, therefore you were force to eat it with your hands. Pleeease! olives with pits belong in a Pub. The bacon (or ham), looked like it was the left-over from breakfast. It was burned and tough as rubber. What an insult to someone's intelligent. I ended up leaving 80% of the antipasto. Not worth returning.
Perhaps it was the good reviews and my expectations were too high. Everything ordered was fine, staff and restaurant are pleasant, food is of good standard. But I couldn't find anything specially good either. Entree of arancini and bruschetta were generous, better order just one to share. Bella Bugs and Penne Pollo were fine, but similar can be had at other family-style Italian restaurants. Panna Cotta finish was fine, but a little oversized. Left feeling there was nothing that made me feel in a hurry to return.
Absolutely fantastic food, the atmosphere was great and the ladies serving us were wonderful ???? will definitely be going back for round 2!!!
Everything was pleasant. the waiting staff was good, with our 5yo son (who only wanted pure pasta). the entries were beautiful, the main thing were really very good gnocci. divided a bombe alaska for dessert (lol, not unusual after reading some reviews). a little theatre and. welcoming and very nice to eat. a school night for m
Have been to Bella Cosi a bunch of times and it never disappoints. The food is aaaamazing, from the starters to mains to dessert!! Always a pleasure to be served by waiter Patrick (has served us the past couple of times we’ve been) and he’s...always so friendly, accommodating and so informative about the menu. We’ll be back 200
