The energy of the old building can't be replaced, but it sure doesn't feel all that different stepping into the new location once you. Pepperoni and extra grated cheese. : View all feedback.
What Colleen Daniel doesn't like about The Brown Jug:
The food is good, but the service is awful. I really want to love this place, but I just can't. Do not sit outside!! They will forget about you. I had to run to Walgreens to get a drink because the waitress never came back. View all feedback.

The brown jug is an institution in Chelsea. Food, drinks, and ambiance are very good. Service is very good. Strongly recommend this place
Ordered their calzone. The bottom layer of dough was raw and thick. I had to put in my oven for another 30 minutes and it still wasn’t cooked through. Nothing more unattractive than raw food of any kind. Maybe they should thin the bottom layer of dough to increase the cooking process. Won’t order from here again. As a secondary note- one of my supposed ingredients was pepperoni. Being honest I think there were maybe 6 very very thinly sliced pieces in the calzone. Makes me wonder if they ran out of pepperoni? This also should never be a food order issue.
