What Keith Kennedy likes about The Running Mare:
fabulous eating in this restaurant and great service. dogs are allowed in the 'bar area, but intentional. with wooden floors and lower deck it can be very loud. many quieter areas without the dog. View all feedback. What Holger Geisler doesn't like about The Running Mare:
Staff friendly but busy. Usually have a fair/good meal here. It's local which is why we keep coming back we have good times or ok times. This was just ok. read moreThe Running Mare offers a mixed dining experience, with some customers praising the friendly staff and delicious food, particularly recommending the belly pork. The atmosphere and service are generally pleasant, making it a great place for a casual night out. However, there are complaints about issues with booking systems, cold meals, and uncooked food. Despite these drawbacks, the restaurant is highly recommended for those with gluten intolerances, offering a comprehensive gluten-free menu. The pub also has a nice beer garden and allows dogs, adding to its appeal. Overall, The Running Mare seems to have its ups and downs, but with the potential to provide a satisfying dining experience.
