Fontanella Coffee House - Chelmsford

I only ever go In there as its the only sit down coffee place(not including the pop up Costa). I found the latte very bland and the presentation of the food was not very inviting so we did not purchase any food. I am a baker so i know the importance of presentation, also they do not have drink options for Children. I will go back again as I think this maybe was an off day for the lady who was on her own.

‪@fontabroomfield we ordered two hot chocolates at Broomfield hospital. When ordering we had two different orders due to allergies. One without marshmallows and cream and one with. When we got them the staff member couldn’t remember which one was which. So I asked cause of allergy‬ ‪The staff member took it back and stuck a spoon in and assured us which was which. Unlucky for her she was wrong and I’ve drunk the one which Im allergic too. Lucky it won’t do anything too harmful to me. But someone else it could be worse. ‬

If you are unfortunate enough to have to visit Broomfield Hospital then this coffee house is ideal for a pick-me-up. Lovely coffee, we also had toasted Paninni's and sandwiches, all were toasted to perfection. Very pleasant young lady serving us before 9am, how she kept her cool I do not know as she was the only member of staff on duty and was rushed off her feet with a long queue of customers waiting to be served. Can not praise her enough.....the food and coffee is good too!

I’m a regular customer and the past few weeks they have changed there payment method to card only the past 2 weekends i have visited the old women has been taking the signs saying card only down and taking cash payments it’s very frustrating because when i visited the first 2 weeks they wouldn’t except my cash payment because “there card only from now on” please tell me the difference from weekend to weekday
