I visited for lunch on a Saturday with a friend, and I couldn't find anything to criticize! The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious and offered fantastic value for the price. One side of the restaurant had a cozy, relaxed atmosphere with sofas and a log burner, while the other side featured a lovely rustic dining area with breathtaking views of the Somerset countryside. Overall, I would rate the service and location both as 5 stars. Hotel highlights: Amazing views and excellent value!
Great spot to begin and end a walk in the beautiful countryside. Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5
The restaurant boasts a lovely atmosphere and stunning views, making it a wonderful choice for a romantic evening. However, I was disappointed with the food. The burger was overwhelmed by excessive rose harissa sauce, which didn’t work well for me. On a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed my pasta dish. As for drinks, I ordered a non-alcoholic Guinness, but it didn't taste good. Fortunately, the staff were very understanding and provided me with a different drink. Overall, it’s a great spot for the ambiance and views, even if the food left something to be desired.
Five of us went for Sunday lunch on an unusually glorious day. Drinks outside enjoying the fabulous views in the sunshine. We all opted for the Sunday roasts, 3 lamb, 1 beef, 1 pork. Plates generously served with roasties, yorkies and 7 different veg including a delicious cauliflower cheese. Despite polishing that lot off we squeezed in sticky toffee puddings (3), bakewell tart with amaretto cream and an apple tart all with ice cream!! (Special mention for the apple tart pastry exceptional) Fabulous meal with brilliant service. Our dog loved her welcoming visit too. Service: 5 Location: 5
