I've been coming here for 18 and a half years, and every time the staff changes, they always make me feel welcome. I eat here almost every week and enjoy drinks at least twice a week. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly, and even though the place has been transformed into a stone house, the food is just as good—if not better—than before. The new manager, Christian, has implemented significant improvements to th... View all feedback.
What Ben G doesn't like about Micker Brook Stonehouse Pizza Carvery:
This spacious restaurant tends to prioritize diners over drinkers, which can affect the ambiance a bit. However, the carvery is outstanding nine times out of ten and offers great value for money. For around £27, you can enjoy three carveries, two pints, and a Coke—hard to beat that! You can choose from beef, turkey, and ham (and even mix them if you’d like), with plenty of self-service options available. Overall, it’... View all feedback.
I stopped by tonight for a quick meal and was pleased to see the staff working hard, as always, while maintaining their friendly and welcoming demeanor. I enjoyed a delicious carvery that I couldn’t fault at all, served by a lovely young lady named Millie, who was incredibly helpful and polite. Great food and excellent service—I’ll definitely be back soon!
Tonight's portion was truly unacceptable; the amount of meat I received was disgraceful, and I only got three tiny potatoes alongside some unappetizing vegetables. It's frustrating to see so much food still available but being given such a pitiful amount. I want to remind the staff that paying £3.29 doesn't mean we should receive less than a full portion; the intention behind this service is to provide a comparable amount to what one would get at full price. Honestly, I don’t feel like I got £3 worth of food tonight. I’ve attached a photo to illustrate the meager amount of meat I received. Would you serve that small portion to someone coming up to the carvery? I think we all know the answer is no. Moreover, the meat was overly dry. It's disheartening to be given such a small serving when there was an entire cooked joint of gammon and beef just sitting there. Please, don’t be so stingy—customers should receive a full portion of meat. This experience was incredibly frustrating.
I had yet another fantastic experience at Micker Brook! We enjoyed some incredible burgers that were truly outstanding. I also highly recommend the pizza, especially when Joe is the one preparing it; he uses fresh dough made that very day. Having lived in Italy for a while, I know a thing or two about pizza, and I can confidently say that Joe's comes very close to authentic Italian pizza. On top of that, his service was exceptional—he really went out of his way to enhance our visit. Our server, Emi, was lovely and friendly, and she is a true asset to Christian and the management. Thank you, everyone!
Came in as we had a gift voucher but will certainly be back. Our carvery was tasty and hot. There was a good selection of veg and roast pots. The dessert I had was apple pie which was lovely with lots of apple. However what made our visit were the lovely staff (especially Emmy who made us feel very welcome and talking to them, they were proud to work here which is great to see. Any jobs going? ;
Out for lunch with my mum, had a carvery, Food was excellent and not expensive. Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely clean pub. Very friendly staff with excellent customer service. Steven was extremely helpful whilst trying to use the app on the phone, was not able to add voucher so Steven took it on himself to process our order through the till for us. He is a credit to the establishment. I will definitely be back again, and recommend The Micker Brook to all. Thank you
