Variety of Burmese traditional buffet at one stop. Loved it. Thanks!
One of serveral Burmese food buffet restaurants in New Bagan. Best to try for lunch because all the foods were cooked in the morning and served all day as of typical Burmese-styled restaurants.
Excellent value for money! Delicious food for a lot less than many other more touristy spots in New Bagan.
No menu but that was not the issue. Traditional Burmese food was delicious and there was a huge spread of side plates to eat with the main curries. We were the only people eating there at lunch time and the food came out immediately, indicating it was not exactly cooked to order. My wife got got food poisoning but recovered quickly.
Excellent tasty traditional Myanmar cuisine foods served in Myanmar style, this is many small dishes of already cooked foods are brought to your table, you pay for what and the amount you eat, kind of like buffet except it is not one set price for all you can eat. This place is not dressed up to please tourists like many restaurants around in this touristy area, this place was made for local Myanmar people so the foods here are also genuine Myanmar style. Here you can try many different real Myanmar/Burma home cooking, not fancy and expensive, just real quality and very reasonable price. So far this place has the best tasting Myanmar cuisine foods I had in Myanmar. I tried almost every meat dish, there were mutton, pork, fish and chicken. The mutton meat was marinated well before cooking, the flavor is deep into the meat, this is real high quality cooking. Stewed pork was very tasty almost like beef jerky with fatty skin layer, again this is real intentional cooking, not done sloppily. There was a dish of raw microgreen sprouts mixed with some other ingredients, not sure what but tasted great. Had never seen that food before anywhere. Potato in curry was good with plain rice. There were others I tried too. After the meal they brought bananas, tamarind treats and some small discuits made of some sweet sour fruit. The total price for my meal included a hot cup of coffee was only K5500, other restaurants would charge much higher price but their foods not as good as these. Highly recommended when you are in Bagan, it is worth coming all the way here just to try their home style traditional Myanmar cooking. No rip off tourists here, just real foods at local price. The spacious place is clean and hygiene by Myanmar standard. Many young local girls as servers, they are attentive and friendly. Many Myanmar celebrities go there to eat, have their photos on display. Lady owner is very friendly and likes to chat, very interesting person. She takes her cooking seriously, can taste real flavors and quality in her foods. I had eaten at the well known Feel restaurant in Yangon, terrible and very pricey compared to this place. Open at 10am, closes at 9pm. Can be busy at 8pm because Buddhists in the area come to eat after finish praying.
