The best raw oysters in Chattanooga more than worthy of their price. Massive and delicious!. We came here because we kept seeing the sign by our hotel and it was a nice vibe. Great for watching sports or for just a date night. Everything we had was delicious and amazing. We had raw oysters (and had to get a second round since the first round was that great), calamari, hushpuppies, fried oysters and volcano noodles.We... View all feedback.
What elizeth fraire doesn't like about Volcano Crab:
The food was great, the walk in was beautiful. Good decor. Once it started getting packed the service didn’t know how to be organized and we needed refills, crab pliers. She forgot them and our main waitress forgot about our table. They charged me the gratuity tip and it was not even above 4 people. View all feedback.
I absolutely love king crab and enjoy it frequently, but the legs on this platter were enormous! The dish also came with shrimp, potatoes, and corn, all soaking in a delicious broth. Mmm! The interior of the restaurant is lovely and has a very authentic feel. I highly recommend it—definitely worth the money!
This restaurant offers the best raw oysters in Chattanooga, and they're absolutely worth the price. They are huge and incredibly tasty! We decided to visit after noticing the sign by our hotel, and we're glad we did. The atmosphere is great for both sports viewing and date nights. Every dish we tried was delicious and impressive, including the raw oysters (we even ordered a second round because they were that good), calamari, hushpuppies, fried oysters, and volcano noodles. By the end of our meal, we definitely left feeling thoroughly satisfied.
The food was fantastic, and the ambiance was lovely with beautiful decor. However, when the restaurant became busy, the service struggled to stay organized. We had to ask for refills and crab pliers, but our server forgot to bring them. Additionally, our main waitress overlooked our table entirely. To top it off, they added a gratuity charge even though we were a party of fewer than four people.
We had a late dinner and the place was full with only 2 servers. So it took a little time but it was worth it. Loved the festive environment, it was just what we needed.
I was disappointed. I was excited to have king crab. I received 2 crab legs, 2 inedible corn cobs (I had to spit it out) and two boiled red potatoes for $63? This place wasn’t worth the money. Next time I’ll spend the $63 on king crab at Publix’s and heat it up myself. We won’t be going back.
