This place was great! It lives up to the legend of it 's New Orleans home base. And rivals its sister store in Gatlinburg. We had brunch after visiting the aquarium a couple of blocks away. There were 7 of us in total and everyone loved everything they ordered. Eggs cochin was definitely a hit. The French toast bites were a little sweet for me, but the kids loved it. Even the breakfast tacos were simple but delicious... View all feedback.
What Andrea Billadeau dislikes about Ruby Sunshine:
Very average food the menu itself has interesting items but they aren't cooked great. My pancakes were so cold which was disappointing because they pineapple upside down pancakes would have been good if warm or hot. I got the chicken and french toast entre and the french toast literally tasted like croutons, they were so dry and crunched like a crouton. The chicken was tasty though. We visited this restaurant on a Friday morning, so there was no line or wait. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was peaceful. The coffee was freshly made and the food arrived promptly. The quality of the food was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. I would definitely recommend this as a go-to spot for breakfast. Just be aware that parking is on the street.
Great food, atmosphere, and staff. I had the southern breakfast with a side Berry Chantilly Pancake. Can I say, delicious!!! The grits were the right consistency and seasoned perfectly. The best fried green tomato I personally have ever had. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and he said they were very good. No complaints on our end. Special shout out to our waitress Bailey. She was truly a joy, with such great energy and very attentive to our needs? If we come through
This was a really nice restaurant. The food was very delicious! The menu offerings were good and reasonably priced. Our service was prompt and friendly. We tried the Southern Breakfast, and the Chicken St Charles eggs Benedict. All were very good!
Trevor was an amazing waiter. French Toast Bites and Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes were delicious, so were the grits and I'm picky about grits.! Loved the food and service. No wait at 8am at a Saturday either. Highly recommend.
We had areally good breakfast here. Flavored margaritas, omelettes, French toast, and pancakes for the kids. And an insanely good cappuccino. The biscuit was INSANELY good! Lots of people waiting in line but we were seated pretty fast. Excellent service once seated. Highly recommend if close by and looking for breakfast/brunch.

Visited Sunday September 10, there was an hour wait but we opted to sit at the bar. Grateful we did because we were able to enjoy a more intimate meal. Leann at the bar is a POWERHOUSE back there!! She was friendly and was knocking out tickets left and right! The shrimp Benedict was phenomenal. The only thing I regret is not getting a latte they smelled AMAZING.
Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and especially the service. Coffee, southern breakfast; with biscut with AMAZING butter, eggs, bacon, grits (drool delicious), and topped off with the most tastey seasoned fried green tomato. Eric and Tyler were GREAT servers bar tenders and I appreciated their light humor as well. Thank you for a great morning!! As you can see, it was a struggle, but left nothing behind.Kid-friendliness: Family and friends dining.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to enter, exit, and at table the chairs can easily be moved for a wheelchair.

We put our name on wait list and it was 45 60 min wait yet as we waited to check in, others who were not on wait list were sat right away and then we had to wait 15 minutes so that seemed kinda silly. I would go here if it was this or fast food but there are just much better places in the area to check out
