The beans surprised me a little, most BBQ places they're just sort of okay, but there was a bit more of a complex flavor to these I appreciated. If there was one lesser note it was that the potato salad didn't stand as tall as the rest of the meal. I don't blame that on Mimi's though as the other two are tough acts to follow and there are a myriad of ways potato salad can be done. All in all, absolutely worth the visit.

One could taste the best hickory and apple wood smoke on the meet. The mac n cheese is simply otherworldly, cheesy, buttery. Melts in your mouth and makes one remember their own grandma’s cooking. Mimi dear, wherever you are in the Heaven you must be proud of your Julia!

We tried the veggie sandwich and the veggie cheesesteak, and both were absolutely delicious. We're used to bland vegetarian sandwiches at many restaurants, but these were full of flavor. The staff was also very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
