What Bill Underwood doesn't like about J. Alexander’s:
Ate there last night for birthday gathering. Food was good as usual. However, AC broken; 97 outside, inside hot! Also, women’s bathroom out of service; men’s….no water for hand wash. Small sign on door that I missed because someone opened door as we were going in. This restaurant should have been closed….if nothing more, restroom issues! Disappointing to say the least for their pricing! View all feedback.
I was on my first date with a very beautiful woman, and I wanted everything to be ??perfect! We had a 15-minute wait, but fortunately, we had time to converse and exchange our pleasantries while we waited. We were seated and ordered. Everything seemed to be going well. She ordered salmon with salad, and when it got there, the salmon wasn't done all the way thru. I got my salad and my order, but my food was fine, and like the gentleman and mannered person I am, I waited to eat, but this made my experience less than perfect. Of course, the staff rectified the situation, but I was disappointed by the situation.
The food and service are excellent. Recommend the Spinach dip, Sword Fish, and Prime
Really great high end restaurant to eat and enjoy yourself but keep in mind it's slightly expensive!
Our group had a very enjoyable experience at J. Alexander’s Restaurant. Some of the dishes that we ordered were Steak Maui and Filet Mignon. Both of our steaks were tender and delicious. The steak Maui was a unique take on a ribeye that was very good and not overly seasoned. It was so good, I will have a hard time ordering something else on our next visit. We ended the meal with a Carrot cake and Key Lime pie. The Carrot cake was pretty good but my favorite was the key lime pie. It wasn’t overly tart and had a substantial crust.
Went here on a Saturday around 5pm. It took a little while for our server to get to us but when she did, Roxanne did an amazing job. She knew the menu well and constantly checked on our table, she even boxed up our meal for us when it was time to go. She recommended the chilli and we chose the Salmon Dip for our appetizers. Both were delicious, the Salmon was exceptionally good. I did swap out the bread for chips, but the bread wasn 't bad. For the mains, we got the Rotisserie Chicken and the Rattlesnake Pasta. The chicken was great and the mac n ' cheese was as they say bussin . The Rattlesnake pasta was ok , I expected something spicier but it failed to deliver any heat. It wasn 't bad at all, just not what my taste buds were expecting based on the description. Overall this was a great experience and we will return in the future. If you like taking food pics and haven 't been here make sure they seat you in a well lit part of the restaurant, if not your pics will suck.
