Pepper Lunch is a popular chain in Japan so when visiting Chatswood Interchange with my Japanese boyfriend, we had to give it a try.
I ordered the chicken katsu curry. Yes, katsu. My picture however says otherwise. Ive now been sitting here waiting for 20mins. My friend has managed to go and order at two separate places, pick up food and eat most of his and I have yet to receive mine. Not only are they incredibly short staffed, the girl was also very rude. Now. I'm just hungry. Would never had this at this food court again. Do yourself a favour and pick something else. This pfeffersessen is not as beautiful as that in the city, but offers the same quality as other places. the sauces they offer make the dish taste better.
The first time when you try pfeffer lunch and be honest, it was a little underwhelming. I have heard many good things about it and how good their squirting plates are, but I was quite disappointed we ordered the jumbo classic bark pfefferreis think that it would come with extra bark meat as advertised, but we ended just a few pieces on our teller. the portion size was quite small and the bark tasted quite chewing and hard. and her signaturer pfefferreis tasted just like normal rice, unfortunately I also felt that it was quite expensive for the quality of the food we were serving. we have paid for something we could make ourselves home better the service was also...read more
Rating: have loved the wagyu pfeffer reissatz and kimchi bark with cheese by itself if there was the possibility to get kimchi wagyu bark with cheese, as the wagyu pfefferreis was a bit bland for my lust. the kimchi bark fried for my taste but the flesh was not almost as good. a fooling pricy for what they get, but overall was pretty good, as the pommes were super fresh and the wrong was the standard good.
This restaurant offers quite cheap dishes with a large portion size. we ordered the sizzling fried rice and it was nicely spiced and fresh.
Food is just okay. Nothing special, but the price is a bit high for this kind of express food.
