Hu's Inn - Chatswood

Service is always friendly and professional, I'm always being greeted with a big warm friendly smile, coffee is the best you will find in Chatswood! I start my day with a coffee from Wiely everyday! Highly recommend.

Small and cozy space resembling street food culture in Tai Nan. I was on a mission to compare Hu's with BaoDao down the road, so decided to start with the iconic Taiwanese dish - Minced Pork Rice. And of course, Taiwanese Milk Tea (which BaoDao sadly doesn't have). Purely based on the two things I ordered: > Minced Pork Rice - I'd say BaoDao does a noticeably better job, where the pork mince is served in larger portion and the flavour more spot-on. > Milk tea - Loved the strong tea taste (I asked for minimal sugar and egg pudding). It has just the right level of creaminess I've craved in Taiwanese Milk Tea. Hu's offers a wide range of teas (which are sometimes the best kept secrets of Taiwanese restaurants). So overall the two items evened out to give a score of 3.5. There's an extensive menu so I'm looking forward to tasting the other must-orders next time, such as Beef Noodles and fried chicken/pork. Oh and they are serving shaved ice in summer!

Under average food. I had many other Taiwanese food and loved each one of them. The restaurant setting looked great and did the menu. I had a feeling that this could satisfy my Taiwanese food chindles, but unfortunately it was totally the opposite. I have ordered cattle tendon soup, and my partner ordered some pasta with 2 side dishes (salt pepper chicken and fried tofu - each cost 6.90!). The side dishes were good, but very small part. It's not worth anything at all. My beef soup noodle was an absolute disappointment. Broth was so Fad and had something surprise. I do not know if it should be angry or if it's corrupt, but regardless of it, it was not delicious at all. Honestly, I could have done better soup with my slow cooking pot at home and I'm not the best when cooking. Nudel shell with a little chopped pork that ordered partner was also average and small in the serving. Overall, I will not recommend this place, based on the food we have ordered.

This is a great hidden little restaurant in Chatwood. The staff are friendly and very good for food and tea. Maybe could possibly have more spice and slightly higher quality in the food, but can recommend this place for great milk tea.

What we used: Entertainment Book Buy one main, get a home-free. Grief What we have ordered - Spicy pork and shrimp towers appetizer - Beef and tendon soup - Rice set with salt and pepper chicken. Grief The Wontons had a spicy acid sauce that was delicious. Salt and pepper chicken himself was delicious, but the pages we stood with the rice set were very average. They were very secretly with the sides as it felt that they gave the absolute minimum to cover the floor of the specialist! Beef and tendons in the noodle soup were very delicate, but the soup is not very exciting. Portions on the smaller side that feels like a price-performance ratio is poor. Grief Final thoughts: would only go back with a deal. Would get the wontons again.
