Bengablesavories - Chatham
Bengablesavories
Description
Nestled on Chatham’s main circle, this tiny Victorian café is famed for buttery quiches, homemade biscuits and rich coffee served in a bright, tasteful space. Regulars praise soups, sandwiches and warm, friendly staff; take-home quiches are a popular find. Limited seating and weekend crowds are common, and pastries can occasionally be less-than-fresh. Beware unpredictable or early closures—hours are short on Sundays—though many say the food makes the trip worthwhile.

We stop here at least 4 times a year on our way someplace else. It’s a little out of the way but so worth it. Today we had the mushroom Farro soup and without exaggerating think it’s one of the best soups I’ve had. We also had the “special sandwich” which was perfect!
Our AirBnb host recommended this cafe. It turned out to be an excellent choice for us. The coffee was delicious, the snacks were awesome. We had frittata, savory biscuits and scone with blueberries. All were great. The young staff in the cafe were very nice and welcome you with smiles. Small cafe with beautiful cafe chairs and handsome wallpaper.

My husband and I love this charming spot in Chatham. We frequently stop for a bite on our way up to our home in the Berkshires. Everything is delicious and we lie to stock up for the weekend with their wonderful quiches and biscuits.
