Bar L'Aut'antique - Charolles

Pascal makes you feel like a local at his coffee shop/bar. He does not serve any food but you are welcome to bring your own. He has free wifi and is a wonderful host. We're sorry we missed his monthly music evenings that fill the entire square in front of his bar.

Nice little cafe at the entrance to Charolles from the East. They hold music evenings regularly through the summer and its perfect for a quick coffee during the afternoon.

Was going to have lunch there. Seems like a nice place (empty at lunchtime tho'), the person there (owner?) said that he does not actually serve food l you have to bring your own.

I am a tour leader and find Bar l'Aut'Antique an ideal place to stop for a picnic. Pascal made my clients feel welcome and organised tables for us so that we could have our picnic. The group from Australia, New Zealand and Canada loved the place and the Macon wine. Thank you so much Pascal.

We had read reviews about this bar, and we were not disappointed. Pascal is a fantastic host who made us feel really welcome. He even spent a couple of hours communicating with us on Google translate, as we don't speak French. If you come to Charolles, this has to be at the top of your list of places to visit.
