The Salad Maker - Charlottesville

We stumbled upon this little place on a warm day and it was a perfect place for lunch. You walk in and have a choice of selecting a pre-existing salad or a sheet where you can create your own salad. There are name tags for the former, and order slips for the latter, that you bring to the counter. And in a few minutes you have your salad, along with a variety of drink options. I got the Palmyra, a vegan salad, with (among other things) tofu, quinoa, and a lovely vinaigrette on a great bed of greens. But there are salads of all kinds, so you will find something you are excited about. Glad to find this place, would love to eat here again.

There are name plates for the former, and order tickets for the latter, which you bring to the counter. And in a few minutes you have your salad, along with a variety of drinks options. I have the Palmyra, a vegan salad, with (among others) Tofu, Quinoa and a beautiful Vininaigrette on a large bed of greens. But there are salads of all kinds, so you can find something you are thrilled. Nice to find this place, would like to eat again.

Randomly went there after seeing the sign from the road. Fresh salad, good customer service, and price is what is expected for downtown Charlottesville. Will go again.

Great salad, friendly staff. So much better than fast food and well worth the 10 minutes that it took us to get there from the freeway.

Pretty good salad at a similar price to what you would pay at country store or rev soup. Definitely some good options for creative salads too!
