Tara Thai - Charlottesville

Tara Thai was the first restaurant where I experienced Thai cuisine, and it completely captivated me! Thai food quickly climbed to the top of my favorites list and became some of the dishes I love most.

The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are incredibly generous, which is fantastic! However, keep in mind that the dishes don't always reheat very well, so it's best to arrive with a big appetite or be ready to take some leftovers home.

This restaurant is my go-to spot for Thai food in Charlottesville. Every dish I've tried here has been delicious, and I can’t believe I haven’t written a review until now. My favorite dish is the arkhanay noodles, which come topped with large noodles, seafood, and crab, all smothered in a rich brown sauce. Of course, their Pad Thai, fried rice, and Thai iced tea are all exceptional too. This time, I also tried the Kanom Jeeb appetizer, and it was really tasty—imagine steamed crab dumplings served with a flavorful dipping sauce. The Thai iced coffee is another treat worth trying. Seriously, if you haven’t been here yet, you need to check it out because they never disappoint!

Great service, delicious food, and generous portions! I highly recommend the Penang Curry.
