There are a lot of nice, high end restaurants in C'ville, particularly around the downtown mall, but this is not one worth visiting. The food is overpriced and not particularly good. Most of the dishes (of which we had all on the tasting menu) were oversalted and/or lacked flavor. While the gnocchi was the one delicious plate, the portion size was tiny for the price. Food is excellent and service outstanding! The ambiance is awesome as well. This place is a must when in the Charlottesville area.
We went very early, so as to avoid noise. Drinks, appetizers and (split) 10” pizza. All food was excellent, as was the service. We will go again!
Really nice cocktails. Got the Pink 75 and enjoyed it. Also had a nice salad and the bolognes!

We had a fabulous dinner at Red Pump last Thursday. The food is always excellent and the service was exceptional. This continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in C'ville. Using OpenTable makes it so easy to reserve a table. If you enjoy Italian food, I highly recommend you give Red Pump a try.
