Old Mill Room @ The Boar's Head

My partner and I dined at the Mill Room for Valentine's Day. Even though there was a fixed menu with limited choices, our meal took more than 2 hours to finish. Both the appetizers and main dishes were served cold. The wait staff appeared to be flustered and there was a lack of communication with the kitchen. On multiple occasions, we observed plates being brought out to the dining area by runners, only to be left sitting or sent back to the kitchen because they couldn't locate the correct table. The flavor of the food was satisfactory, but eating cold steak is never enjoyable.

I had a great experience with the fixed menu for Valentine's Day at this restaurant. The 4-course meal, which included dessert, was delicious and the portions were generous. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it.

Renovations have ruined the atmosphere and all the ambiance of the lovely country inn it used to be. Dinner was delicious although there was a big chip in the dinner plate, not what you want a an expensive restaurant.

Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area.

The food is great at Oscar's and we enjoy frequenting for Brunch, and recommend it to everyone! However, please note that as policy they do not accept reservations - even if you're booking through OpenTable! Seating is based on a first come, first seated basis. Be aware that they will accept an online reservation, with no intention of honoring it if seating is full.
