What Freda H doesn't like about Crozet Pizza At Buddhist Biker:
I tried this restaurant (Crozet) for the first time and it did not live up to the hype. The pizza had hardly any sauce on it and I ended up paying $21 for it. I even tried calling... View all feedback.
I have visited Crozet Pizza approximately six times over the past year, and unfortunately, my most recent experience will be my last. I ordered two large pizzas and wings, and was incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food. The barbecue chicken pizza was drowned in an overly sweet sauce, with barely any taste of cheese or chicken. The second pizza, a standard cheese pie, was mediocre at best, with a strange topping that may have been oregano. The wings were the worst part of the meal, with a sickeningly sweet sauce that was practically inedible. The only saving grace was the ranch dressing. While perhaps acceptable for college students on a budget, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant to others.
Crozet Pizza offers fantastic happy hour specials every day of the week. The service is excellent and the management is very enjoyable. They host exciting events like Glozet. I particularly love the vibrant nightlife atmosphere here. In the winter, they even have outdoor fires set up. The ambiance at the bar is delightful. I would recommend Crozet Pizza for any time of day. Their specialty drink, the Fresh Zen, is a must-try!
This restaurant is a hit or miss when it comes to their food. I have only tried their pizza so I can't speak for the rest of the menu. The first two times I ordered pizza, it was really good - an upgraded version of the classic delivery style pizza, similar to Papa John's. However, the third time I ordered, it was terrible with too much sauce and cheese, almost like soup on a crust. I have had both good and bad experiences here. The most recent pizza I tried was not great - lacking cheese, too much sauce, and soggy towards the tip of the slice. Despite the inconsistency, I would still recommend this place as when it's good, it's one of the best in the area and reasonably priced.
I was beyond excited to introduce a friend to what I thought was a local gem, but what we experienced was nothing short of a nightmare. The food was so shockingly bad that we couldn't bring ourselves to take more than a bite. The pizza was soggy, flavorless, and resembled something you'd find in a school cafeteria dumpster. To make matters worse, the staff appeared to be high, and the whole place smelled like pot. Adding insult to injury, the host, who was supposed to be managing the front of the house, was lounging at a booth with friends, openly drinking. It was incredibly unprofessional and gave the impression that customer service is not a priority at this establishment. I am appalled by the lack of respect for customers and the total disregard for food quality. I will be disputing the charge for this meal on my credit card, as it was inedible and a complete waste of money. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place at all costs.
Great little venue with outdoor seating and live music. Fast service even on game day, and yummy food!
