Beautiful peaceful spot with pretty cottage landscape view and well spaced covered outdoor patio seating available. Service was kind and attentive. Food was elegant and delicious, worth the prices imo. Reminded me of Michelin star dishes I had in Paris. Well balanced cocktails too. Perfect dinner. View all feedback.
What Xzavier Beer doesn't like about 1799 at The Clifton:
The mussels were great and the filet was tender and perfectly cooked. The pancetta wrapped trout was presented beautifully but the trout was lost in the presentation. The service and ambience were outstanding! Since the menu items were a la carte, the bill was on the expensive side. Keeping all of this in mind, the overall experience was very pleasant. Everything was delicious, one of the best meals I had in one. service was excellent and eating was top notch.
Meal was great, opentable does not allow them to book the bar or library area, but if they are on a date that is preferred for the ambiente. was a few times, personal are great and the bar white how to make a cocktail, had a less than stellar eating experience about a year ago, but they seem to be a great standard again.
The dining room is beautiful with contemporary design. the tables are set up far enough for comfort. the meal itself was charming and the weeping at the gaust. the service was polite and prompt.
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. it was a beautiful way to celebrate a special occasion.
Everything about this experience was phenomenal. Our server and bartender Chris was knowledgeable and attentive, the food was spectacular, the drinks and wine were perfect, the ambiance of the place is so relaxing and old fashioned yet perfectly modernized, you can tell a lot of thought went into making it a really pleasant experience, and the price was lower than I expected. I cannot wait to come back.
